The Best Tips to Help You Grow Taller

If you are still growing then there are things you can do to help your body grow taller. Once you have stopped growing these tips will no longer work. This is because a substance in your bone called cartilage is still flexible during puberty, but it becomes a lot less flexible once you leave puberty. The height increases you can get from the following tips probably won’t add extra feet onto your height but they should add inches.

  1. Do regular exercises that focus on building muscle. This might seem a bit counter-intuitive and perhaps you thought that stretching was the best exercise for growing taller. Those exercises that help you grow muscle are recommended though because they encourage the body to release growth hormone which can help bone grow and get stronger.
  2. Aerobic exercises like skipping and running are also good for helping you grow taller. If you use ankle weights while exercising it can increase the effect – just make sure you don’t overdo it.
  3. Develop a regular exercise routine and stick to it. If you are interested in a martial art or other sport then this can be a good way to ensure that you get regular exercise. You should be doing something most days; exercising once a week is unlikely to help you grow taller.
  4. Keep yourself motivated by reminding yourself of your goal regularly. Keep a journal where you can express your hopes and dreams and read this when you are feeling discouraged. If you keep at it you will see improvements.
  5. Make sure that you get a good night sleep. This really is very important because most of the growth in our body occurs when we are sleeping. If you don’t get enough sleep the body won’t get time to grow and repair itself and you won’t get the benefit of exercise.
  6. Make sure you eat a balanced diet and avoid junk food – you know what they say, junk in junk out. Food is the fuel for the body and if you provide poor fuel you will get poor results.

If you follow the above tips you should begin to notice an increase in height over time and even break the scientific estimate of your potential growth. Don’t expect to wake up one morning and find that you are now your ideal height – it won’t happen that quickly. Stick at it though and you will be impressed with the results.
